Bali is quite small island city in Indonesia. Bali attracts thousands of tourists every year from different part of the world. If you are done with mainstream tourist activities or attractions, we are going to discuss some of the unusual and crazy things to do here.
Bali is a very popular island among the tourists. But there are still some amazing places that are quite unique. From amazing fireworks to abandoned aircrafts, here are some of the best places to add to your itinerary in Bali B2B tour package.
Explore the Imposing Blow Hole in Nusa Dua
Though this natural phenomenon is quite popular and is known as a major highlight in Nusa Dua, there are still few people who don’t even know about this attraction. There is a footpath lined by steep jagged cliffs on one side of the rocks where you will feel ultimate force of nature as water flows high up to the sky due to currents and waves. High tide is the best time to see this natural event as water splashes at its highest and strongest. Sometimes the waves go too high and the area is closed. Keep in mind that splash and waves can be too unpredictable. Be careful if you don’t have waterproof camera.
Getting there – Walk towards the blowhole from Nusa Dua Beach. It is a nice walk which takes around 30 minutes. It is easily accessible by bike or car in Southern Peninsula.
Visit all the Abandoned Aircrafts
Bali has some abandoned aircrafts for a weird reason, which are now free to explore. If you are looking for something more than beaches, rent a bike and set off a journey to explore such abandoned airplanes. Boeing 737 and other giant commercial jets were rumored to be bought to make them a tourist attraction just to be purposely to be abandoned later.
Boeing 737 Kuta- This abandoned plane is located around 500m from Benoa Square. No one knows why it is there. But you can definitely capture some beautiful shots from afar.
Abandoned Gate 88 Mall Airplane
This abandoned Gate 88 Mall was used to be the futuristic mall with great plans of a restaurant, spa, and sky bar. You can find another abandoned aircraft parked just above the rooftop bar. You can get the overall view of this plan when going from Canggu to Denpasar.
Boeing 737 – Bukit Peninsula – This abandoned airplane is quite most popular and you can easily see across the Instagram. It is located on a private property which is 5 minutes from Pandawa beach. You can take aerial views of the plane, though you cannot get close to it.
Learn Cooking – Going on cooking classes may not be your plan when traveling in Bali. But there are some amazing ingredients and recipes you can learn in Indonesian fares.
Snorkeling in Nusa Lembongan to Discover Underwater Temple Garden
Nusa Lembongan and Penida are famous for snorkeling along the underwater temple garden where you can see a lot of submerged Buddha statues. These statues have adopted different fish and coral species over the years. Some people just snorkel it while some dive deep into the area. We recommend adding Nusa islands to your itinerary on your B2B Bali travel deals.
You can take boats from Padang Bai or Sanur to the islands of Penida or Nusa Lembongan. You can also contact B2B Bali Travel Agency to take you to the well-known Manta Ray point around Penida
Visit Trunyan Cemetery to See the Skulls
The hilly village of Trunyan is located by the eastern shore of Mt. Batur which has been popular for unusual burial rituals. People were not buried in this medieval tribe. Their bodies were kept in open bamboo cages and left to rot under a huge Banyan Tree. The smell from the tree masked the bodies which were left to decay. Once the flesh decayed, they collect the skulls for cleaning ritual and place them at the tree bottom to create a shrine.
However, locals are now serving as tour guides and there are mixed reviews about this place. But it is still a worth-visiting attraction in Bali which is totally different. You can add it in your itinerary of Bali tour package or hire a bike to explore this lesser known place.
Visit Nusa Penida and walk around its Rugged Tunnel Cliffs
Bali is famous for wavy shores but the views along the cliffs of Nusa Penida are a treat when you get through underground tunnels carved out of wave bashing and erosion over the years. Broken Beach or Pasih Uug Beach make a great structure of tunnel cliffs. You can take boat from Padang Bai or Sanur to Nusa Penida. At Nusa Penida, rent a scooter to get around hidden beaches and beautiful sights.
Visit the Unusual Car Temple
After exploring Nusa Penida and its rugged cliffs, Pura Paluang is the one and only car temple which makes a great stop to your itinerary made by Destination Management Company Bali. There are many temples in Bali but it is unique because it has two stone cars instead of shrines. It is a place of worship visited by both tourists and locals. Be sure to cover up as a sign of respect.
Join the Kecak Fire Show, Uluwatu
This cultural dance is another way to explore the local culture of Bali and is highly recommended for tourists who come through DMC Bali. Kecak Shows are performed all around Bali. But this is special because of amazingly scenic views. It is performed in natural amphitheater facing the whole ocean. So, it is an ideal spot to see the sunset. However, be careful of cheeky monkeys who are notorious to snatch water bottles, sunglasses, and even loose clothing items.
You can rent a car or motorbike to get there. You can also visit Uluwatu through tour packages available from Bali based Destination Management Company in India. You can also get there on your own by just buying tickets at the entrance of temple.
