The Islamic Museum is a popular tourists’ attraction that takes the best collection of more than 7000 artefacts. The museum is classified into 12 different galleries including manuscript, India Gallery, Islamic Architecture Gallery, Chinese Gallery and Malay world gallery. The museum hosts addition facilities and activities such as children’s library, storytelling sessions. It consists a remarkable selection of Islamic artefacts that offers a unique and mesmerising insights into the world of Islam. Opened in 1988, the museum is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The largest museum is at the walking distance from the Bird Park, national museum and national Planetarium. The museum is divided up into different levels where you find different galleries at level 3 and display of textile, jewellery, armour, Islamic glassware and ceramics at level 4. It partakes the best collection of decorative art that exhibits the quality. The decor presents amazing views when looking from the top floor to the museum. The building is adjacent to the park is a perfect place where many activities such as film screening, sports events, workshops and exhibitions are held. A dynamic place for family and kids with many recreational activities is a tremendous resource centre of Islamic studies.

The museum includes calligraphy, pottery, decorated domes and glazed title work. It has one of the best gift shops that stocks beautiful products from the Islamic world. Amidst the leafy surroundings of the Perdana Botanical Garden, the museum has been the largest museum of Malaysia for displaying Islamic Art. Its masterpiece comes from the secular and spiritual which all are inter-connected by the Islam. The artefacts are drawn from the treasure, is a home to the ordinary people where objects tell us about the fascinating story of the region that leaves you with an experience in the physical gallery space. The museum takes you to discover the beauty of the Islamic art with traditional inspiration and modern architecture that is made from limestone. Designed with world’s renowned beauty, the museum has become an icon with a wide variety of textures & material. It is the foundation of the cultural scenes which presents incredible views of the bay. There is also a restaurant which serves delicious delicacies with rich taste, spices and ingredients.
